HOW TO PLAY CLEAN SWEEP
Clear layers and chase score
- A piece appears in the Current Piece panel on the left. Rotate normal shapes with the left/right arrow keys, the R key, or the on-screen buttons. The next two pieces stay visible directly below it.
- As soon as a piece becomes active, its decision timer starts immediately. Move over the 6×6 board to preview exactly what the piece will affect.
- Normal shapes stay entirely on one level and are placed on the lowest level where none of their squares overlap existing blocks. Wildcard fills the lowest empty level of one square. Excavator removes the top visible block from one square.
- If time reaches zero, the game plays your current preview if it is on the board. If that preview would require Level 6, it is played and you lose. If the current preview is off the board, the game instead places the piece at the nearest valid position to your mouse. If no valid position exists anywhere, the game ends.
- When all 36 spaces on a level are filled, that level disappears and every higher block falls down one level.
- Your Level starts at 1 and increases by 1 each time you clear a layer. As your level rises, the timer shortens through 15s → 13s → 11s → 8s → 5s. Special-piece frequency stays the same throughout the game.
- You may stack as high as Level 5. Choosing a Level 6 placement yourself ends the game.
Scoring: 10 points per block added or removed, plus 250 bonus points per cleared layer. If clearing a layer leaves the entire board completely empty, you earn a Clean Sweep worth an additional 2,500 points and a special celebration. The timer gets shorter after you clear more layers, bottoming out at 5 seconds per piece. Your leaderboard result is total Score. Higher is better.
During play, the left panel is reserved for the timer and piece queue. The right panel shows Score, Level, Layers Cleared, Pieces Played, and Layer Fill so the board can remain the visual focus.
